We are thrilled to welcome the wonderful duo LOOM & Olivia Lyon back for another weekend intensive at VoxBody!

Get ready for two days full of in-depth exploration of some favorite ties and concepts, played out in partial and full suspensions, with added extras like bamboo ties and predicaments!

Not only that, but these sweethearts have opted to spend their first anniversary--which is on Valentine's Day--with us for a performance event!!! Save the date, it's gonna be a hot date (event to be announced soon)! There will be champagne, and valentine's-themed fun abounding.

Weekend schedule: SAT & SUN 11-6pm (including a 1-hour lunch break)

Ties & Concepts To Be Covered:

Tengu
LOOM and Liv's take on a classic Kitagawa-style full-leg tie
2 Waki Sarashi (bunny ears) variations
Minimalism
Tying with Bamboo
Predicaments
Takenoko (LOOM & Livís exploration of expansion and contraction)
Day 1 will consist of introductions to the forms that will be used throughout the weekend. We will then utilize those patterns on the floor and in partial suspension exercises, whilst introducing various concepts.

Day 2 will consist of a deeper exploration of the ties and concepts presented on Day 1. We will bring things into the air, building both skills and muscle memory for the materials being presented.

Throughout the weekend LOOM & Liv will cover rope hacks, tips, and tricks - discussing the properties of each pattern in both static poses and suspension sequences. In addition, Liv will provide individuals being tied with placement suggestions, body awareness techniques, and pain processing tips every step of the way.

Prerequisites: Individuals tying should be able to tie a sustainable upper-body harness and have a basic understanding of suspension techniques. Those being tied should be able to monitor their bodies and know their placements in rope. Tying pairs should have previous suspension experience and come with a partner they have worked with before.

Bring: 8+ hanks of rope, and suspension supplies.

About the presenters:

LOOM (he/him) is a rope enthusiast, educator and photographer located in the Pacific Northwest.

His introduction to Japanese rope bondage began over 5 years ago with a single photo. With that spark, it soon became an all consuming obsession... A lifelong student, LOOM continues to expand his knowledge base from individuals around the world known to be highly proficient in their craft.

As of 2015, LOOM and his partner Olivia Lyon started to travel internationally both as presenters and as performers; contributing to such events as Bondage Expo Dallas, DesertBound, NARIX in Los Angeles and Philadelphia, La Nuit des Cordes in Montrťal, Morpheus Bondage Extravaganza in San Francisco, BeachBind in Jamaica and various other burner/fetish events.

When LOOM and Olivia Lyon are not teaching in the classroom, tying in the studio, or performing on stage, they give back to their rope communities by teaching with others in bi-monthly rope labs and rope shares throughout the left coast.

Olivia Lyon/Liv (she/her) is a Vancouver, BC based rope bottom, rigger, artist, educator and all around Shibari addict!

First introduced to the world of rope in 2007, she started out as both a bondage model and rope bottom. This gave Liv a great foundation of experience(s) that grew into a huge passion and now consumes pretty much all of her free time. Livís heart is in being bound, but she is currently focusing more energy on her own practice as a rigger, creating rope art in multiple mediums and spreading knowledge through community education with her partner J. LOOM. Constant personal growth, or whatís the point?
