The Father's Project: WORLD AIDS DAY Screening at Manny's

A map of the world that does not include utopia is not worth even glancing at. -Oscar Wilde

The Fathers Project is a sci-fi documentary series that imagines the world if AIDS never existed.

On December 1st, 2019 we will screen Fathers in honor of World AIDS Day. This will be a cozy, casual, chosen family screening for SF supporters. It will take place at Manny's community space on 16th and Valencia. Director and Producer Leo Herrera will host a 45 minute screening of all 5 episodes of the series, including the premiere of the finale, as well as the Emmy-winning KQED Behind-The-Scenes documentary by Claudia Escobar, followed by a Q&A.

Folks are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 to get settled in with a glass of wine, meet the artist and be part of a community blessing for those we have lost to the epidemic.

Screening will start at 7:30, followed by a Q&A. Event will end at 9 sharp.

Event is free, donations are highly encouraged to take the project to the next phase of film festival submission. Donations are Tax Deductible and benefit The GLBT Historical Society. Please see all donation tiers by clicking on "Tickets". If you are unable to attend but would like to support, and screen the first 4 episodes, please visit

All donations go to The GLBT Historical Society.
