It's All in the MIND
A Foundations Class

Cost: Suggested donation of $10-$15

Dress code: Whatever makes you feel comfortable. Street wear before entering

Doors open 6:30-7 sharp, class starts promptly at 7:00

Class Description:
Whether it's your first pick-up at a play party or ironing out the details of a long-term authority exchange, any successful scene starts with negotiation. The ability to negotiate fully and effectively is one of the basic tools every player needs in their kit. This class is designed to cover the continuum of negotiation, methods of effective negotiation and most importantly knowing what to negotiate for. It doesn't matter if you can run a six-flogger Florentine to Flight of the Bumblebee for forty-five minutes, if you cannot communicate your desires and expectation nor hear those of your partner, you'll never get a chance to do it.

Presenter Bio:
James Sposato hails from New England where he and a close-knit group of friends explored their kink and wound up building a DIY scene from the ground up. After moving to SF, he stumbled upon a Foundations Munch and excited by this glimpse of the Bay Area’s vibrant kink and Leather community, embraced it whole-heartedly.

He has explored leather history and traditions through the Journey and Leather Quest programs, graduating in December 2014. He has served as Junior Headmaster and Headmaster for Foundations and is the current Junior Headmaster for the Norcal Journey 2018 class.

He has taught numerous classes on biting, caning, food ply, protocols and negotiation. While a fan of every sort of impact/sensation play, from traditional tools to improv pervertables to canes, he has never forgotten it all starts with the hands and is a proponent of “Kink Fu: The Art of the Empty Hand.”
