Dungeon Introduction & Etiquette Program

Are you curious about attending a public play party but find yourself unsure of what to expect? Society of Janus is here to help you navigate those tricky waters with their Dungeon Introduction & Etiquette Program. We will spend our time together within the welcoming confines of the SF Citadel discussing some of the very basic yet invaluable topics of what to expect at a public play party.

The program is free, and attendees get $5 off the party that happens afterwards.

Topics covered (just to name a few):

The BDSM community
Meeting and Conversing with others
Discussing and Negotiating Enthusiastic Consent
Personal Responsibility and Safety
Rules of the Dungeon, both written and unspoken
Appropriate Expectations, Etiquette, and Behaviors
This program is conducted by the following Society of Janus officers: The Welcoming Director, Membership Secretary, & Orientation Director.

Following a presentation, there will be a question and answer session where all questions are welcomed and addressed. There is no such thing such as a stupid question! We'll give a walk-through tour of the dungeon to help people familiarize themselves with the space and safety stations. Lastly, we end the program with a Show and Tell where people are invited to lay hands on a multitude of different implements for play. Interaction and questions are highly encouraged. We are here to help you navigate the hurdles of being new to the community and facilitate a healthy entry into the scene.

Society of Janus is and has always been an organization made up of the community and in service to the community. We are stronger for our diversity, including adults of all genders, orientations, colors, ethnicities, roles, and experience levels. We welcome all who have a genuine interest in kink and who respect each other's rights to self-expression, self-exploration, and authenticity. At each and every one of our events, we will strive to maintain and enforce a respectful and safe space for all attendees in celebration of this diversity. All are welcomed in this informative night out.

The venue is accessible from Powell St. BART. It is the double red doors located next door to the Pandora Karaoke bar. There are two parking lots, one half a block down and one directly across the street.

To maintain a safe and welcoming environment, we a set of consent guidelines for all of our events.
