Are you a novice who wants to start playing in the dungeon? Do you need to build your skill set? Are you interested in learning safe techniques? Or do you just want some time to practice with an expert and get some pointers? Come to our monthly workshop and learn the basics of BDSM play.

Society of Janus is hosting our new monthly skills class at The Citadel on the first Saturday of every month. This class is for both tops and bottoms because it benefits everyone to know proper play techniques. During each session we will be covering some of the following topics:

* Safety & Consent
* Flogging
* Caning
* Spanking
* Rough Body Play
* Rope Ties
* Special Guest Topics

We will have several "stations" set up around the dungeon and Instructors will be teaching two 45 minute sessions, showing basic skills with an emphasis on safety and proper technique. The last portion of the workshop is open practice time where participants can ask questions, and instructors will be walking around correcting, advising, etc. Interaction and questions are highly encouraged. We are here to help you navigate the hurdles of being new to the community and facilitate a healthy entry into the scene.

The venue is accessible from Powell St. BART. It is the double red doors located next door to the Pandora Karaoke bar. There are several parking lots nearby, including one a few doors down and one around the corner. Street parking is also often available.

Please note that the venue itself is up a flight of stairs and unfortunately there is no elevator access.

Tickets are also available at the door or at our website: www.soj.org/schedules

After the BDSM Basics Workshop, get some dinner, and then come back to check out the Dungeon Introduction and Etiquette Program that starts at 6:30. Designed for those who are newer to attending play parties, it will provide the information you need to feel comfortable and engaging with others appropriately at a public play party. The Dungeon Introduction & Etiquette Program is free and will even get you $5 off of that nights party, which starts at 8:00
