Kink For Trauma 2.0: Strategies For Using Kink in Healing
Presented by Angie Gunn LCSW CST

In the first version of this completely sold out talk, we explored the basics of the intersections between trauma neurobiology and kink neurobiology, and some possible strategies for creating play which facilitates healing. In this 2.0 version, we'll dig deeper into the specific impact of different types of play on emotional, social, and psychological well-being. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their styles of play and explore ways they can apply trauma based approaches to every scene. We will discuss tools and strategies for shifting play and creating scenes specific to the needs of each participant, including the nuances of communication and aftercare required when playing with trauma survivors.
