The Rope Circle offers this class for ALL levels as part of helping students to develop the proper skills to safely progress to more advanced techniques.

About this event

In this class, we will focus on developing the skills necessary to free flow with rope. Proper technique and tension will be stressed during the exercise. We will explore the diamond shape technique and ways to lock the rope into an aesthetic web pattern that will allow you to embrace and capture your partner in the most sensuous way.

This class is aimed towards students who have basic rope knowledge and can tie a single & double column tie proficiently.

What You'll Need:

Preferably 5 lengths of rope. Preferred organic material (jute, hemp, cotton) 6mm diameter/8m length.

About the Presenter:

Kanso is a Bay Area-based Kinbaku artist, performer, and kink/sex-positive educator, with training in martial arts, dance, and movement education. He was first introduced to the seductive world of Japanese rope bondage in 2006, while attending a stage performance in Japan. He has taught and performed at numerous music festivals, art venues, and kink events across the U.S. He offers private rope sessions, private rope lessons, and group classes in the Bay Area.

In 2017 Kanso started the Rope Circle, with the aim to make shibari education more accessible and to raise awareness around sensation play (kink) and sexuality.
