VoxBody Studio presents A Day with MisterBacon and Lief (LA)

VoxBody is excited to welcome MisterBacon and Lief to the studio for a weekend of fun, and jerky, classes!
Join us on Saturday, April 13 for an option of one or two classes!

11-1:30: Improv(e) Your Rope. Ticket link: VoxBodyStudio.eventbee.com/event?eid=166475214

2:30-5: Tie Like A Jerk 3: Letting You Down. Ticket link: VoxBodyStudio.eventbee.com/event?eid=166975313

Tickets are pre-sale only! Tickets for tying duos for one class or a two class package option available. Space is limited so that every attending pair has a suspension point to use.

IMPROV(E) YOUR ROPE
Rope is often taught as a series of very specific steps to achieving a goal. Components to create a chest harness, stages of a transition sequence, and so on. What many people lose in this process is their ability to create without a set plan. In this class, we will focus on getting attendees out of their normal routines and tying in fun and exciting new ways. Some topics covered include:

*How to Negotiate without a set tie in mind while still establishing consent boundaries and understanding risk profiles.
*Scene construction for Chaos Rope: How to improvise with rope effectively.
*Drills and activities to help you create your own improvised scenes.
*How to recover if something goes wrong: Mid-scene and Aftercare.
*There will be options presented that work for ground rope, partial, and full suspension. Students will be given time to experiment with things they have learned in class.

Knowledge Needed:

TOPS should know how to tie a non-collapsing single column tie and several other harnesses (chest harness, hip harness, futomomo, etc.). If you intend to suspend, you should be comfortable with upline attachment and management.
BOTTOMS should have a good idea of their own risk profile, as well as some experience working on their own body awareness. If your top is planning to suspend you, we would also prefer that you have some prior experience being suspended, but this is not required.
ALL TYING PARTIES should be able to communicate to their partner about their needs in a clear and non-judgmental way.

Please Bring:

8-12 lengths of rope (I use 8m lengths of 5-6mm jute, but please use whatever material and length makes you most comfortable)
(If you intend to suspend) Suspension gear such as climbing straps, carabiners, rings, etc.
Cutting tool
Note-taking device

TIE LIKE A JERK 3: LETTING YOU DOWN
Some people do rope scenes for connection. Others do it to hear “Fuck you. That sucked. When can we do it again?” In this follow-up to "Tie Like A Jerk," we will discuss more advanced jerk rope using partial and full suspension. Some things we'll discuss include:

- Demonstrations of painful ties, followed by lab time to explore your inner jerk.

- How to figure out the level of assholery that’s appropriate for your scene.

- Safety and negotiation for intense sadistic rope play to keep your play consensual, safer, and fun.

What to bring:

6-12 lengths of rope (I use 8m lengths of 5-6mm jute, but please use whatever material and length makes you most comfortable)
(If you intend to suspend) Suspension gear such as climbing straps, carabiners, rings, etc.
