WEBINAR: Sexy and Spooky: The Science of Fear Play with MrBLK and Foxxy

NOTE: This will be an online class via Zoom. Zoom information will be sent to all participants one hour before the event.


Conceptually, fear play is the process of creating a scene thats credibly perilous while also mitigating emotional and physical risk. However, this can be more challenging than it seems. If a fear scene isnt executed correctly, it can be unsatisfying at best or potentially dangerous at worst. So, how can we combine our sexy and scary?

Join MrBLK and Foxxy to learn the intricacies of fear play. Well delve into how the brain processes fear and explore how to use that knowledge to craft inventive and effective fear play scenes. The class will:

- Discuss the different ways that the brain processes fear and how that knowledge can be applied to BDSM scenes
- Explore the dynamics of fear play scenes
- Cover negotiations specifically for fear play and what to consider when granting and receiving informed consent
- Address the relevant safety factors associated with fear play
- Discuss emotional and physical risk management and awareness
- Help attendees to apply their unique kink skill set and perspective to fear play
- Cover aftercare and recovery

This class will include a Q & A session


MrBLK is an experienced bondage rigger, kink educator and co-owner of the blog MrBLK has presented locally and nationally on rope bondage, diversity and BDSM play techniques. With a focus on making rope more accessible and approachable, MrBLK advocates for the axiom that rope is truly for everybody.

A Baltimore native, MrBLK is a graduate student and board president for a national, sex positive nonprofit.

Foxxy is a former Mid Atlantic Leather Woman and Mid Atlantic Leather Woman BootBlack who is also a writer for A Femme dominant, Foxxy is also an experienced rope bottom.

A longtime Baltimore resident, Foxxy devotes her time and energy to creating positive spaces in the Mid Atlantic leather community.


$15 - $35. Advance tickets required through Brown Paper Tickets.

We offer a sliding scale, so that cost is not a barrier to attendance.

The regular ticket is $25. This is what most people should pay.

The $15 ticket is offered for those for whom the $25 ticket would be a barrier to participation. If $25 is too much, we take your word for it! Just pay $15.
