Magick 101: Chaos Theory

How did Emperor Norton inspire early internet engineers, writers, and playboy editors to found a religion? How did this conspiracy of Counter Culture writers and Chaos magicians reanimate the Illuminati? What is culture jamming and how did its influence on early hacker culture shape our current political affairs?

All these questions may be answered in this unique seminar on Norton, Discordianism, conspiracy theories, and practical jokes as political activism. Whether a student of counterculture or an enthusiast for San Francisco's influence on American thought, this class is sure to enlighten and/or confuse.

Jarys Maragopoulos is a History and Language Arts Teacher who has studied the occult for over 15 years, and currently co-hosts Wicked Grounds' monthly Sex Magick Coffee Social.
